About

GLOBE, The Global Festival Map

A bilingual directory of music festivals worldwide: around 8,700 entries across 177 countries, each with its dates, its place, its lineup and its practical information.

What this site is

GLOBE gives every music festival a page: when it happens, where, who plays, what you find on site, and the official links to go further. Everything is published in English and in French, side by side.

The catalog holds around 8,700 live festivals across 177 countries, and it grows every week. It is not finished and never will be: a page is only worth the sources behind it, which is why this site says what it knows and leaves the rest blank rather than filling it with guesses.

Who runs it

GLOBE is an independent project, launched in October 2026 by Hans-Paul (Studio Volume). No newsroom, no investor, no ticketing company behind it.

It is deliberately small: one person, a data pipeline, and a review step where a human reads every change before it reaches a page.

Where the data comes from

The French national festival registry, published on data.gouv.fr under the Etalab open licence.

Wikidata, and the open sources it points to.

The festivals' own official websites and ticketing pages.

Our own research: reading, cross-checking, and writing to organizers when a fact resists.

The full list of sources and licences is on the credits page. Sources & credits
