Overview
About
Double Rise Festival takes place each summer in Rimetea, a village in the heart of Transylvania, Romania, set in a valley where the sun appears to rise twice over the surrounding ridges, giving the festival its name. Launched in 2016, it is an interdisciplinary event blending pop, folk and electronic music with literature, theatre and sports programming. Its intimate natural setting and community atmosphere draw an audience from across Central Europe.
