About
AFROPUNK Bahia is held at the Parque de Exposições Agropecuárias in Salvador, a city often described as the largest Black city outside Africa. The Brazilian branch of the festival born in Brooklyn in 2005, it celebrates Black culture through a mix of samba, rap, rock, reggae, pop and afrobeat sharing the same stage. It draws both Brazilian and international artists and has become a leading event for Afro-descendant art and music.
