About
The Belfast International Arts Festival takes place each autumn in October across around thirty venues in the city. Founded in 1962 as the Belfast Festival at Queen's and long hosted by Queen's University, it became an independent organisation in 2015 and bills itself as Belfast's longest-running international arts event. Its programme spans theatre, dance, classical and traditional music, visual arts, film and literature, and has in the past hosted performers such as Jimi Hendrix.
