Buskers Bern

Every August, Buskers Bern turns the old town of Bern, a UNESCO World Heritage site, into one huge open-air stage. Since its launch in 2004, around 150 artists from around the world have performed there over three days, moving between streets and squares with music, acrobatics, theatre and dance. Performers receive no fixed fee: audiences are invited to reward them directly by throwing a contribution into the hat.
