Festival de Música de Frutillar

This classical music festival takes place each year in Frutillar, a lakeside town on Llanquihue Lake in Chile's Los Lagos region, with the Teatro del Lago as its main venue. Founded in 1968 by local residents backed by the German Chilean community, the Semanas Musicales de Frutillar bring together hundreds of musicians for symphonic concerts, chamber music and recitals. Free concerts are also held in surrounding towns, extending the festival beyond the main theatre.
