Overview
About
Born in 1967 out of a rodeo meant to promote the local leather industry, the Festival Western de Saint-Tite has grown into the largest western-themed gathering in eastern Canada, in Quebec's Mauricie region. Over about ten days each September it combines professional rodeo competitions, country dancing, live country music concerts, and a festive street atmosphere throughout the village. It draws several hundred thousand visitors each year to a town of only a few thousand residents.
