Guča Trumpet Festival

Every year in early August, the small town of Guča in the Dragačevo region of western Serbia hosts the Dragačevo Trumpet Assembly, held since 1961. The gathering brings together hundreds of brass musicians and huge crowds of visitors for competitions among Serbian and Balkan brass bands. Its street-party atmosphere, with parades, concerts and orchestra contests, has made it one of the world's leading brass music events.
