Internationale Weingartener Tage für Neue Musik

This contemporary music festival took place every autumn in Weingarten, Baden-Württemberg, from 1986 to 2016, founded by pianist Rita Jans and musicologist Heinz-Klaus Metzger. Over three days it offered concerts, discussion concerts and lectures built around the work of a single invited composer, staged in the halls of the former imperial abbey (Reichsabtei) and the Basilica of St Martin. It was later succeeded by a festival called weit! neue musik weingarten.
