About
Founded in 1930 on the initiative of the newspaper L'Humanité, the festival was long held at the Parc de La Courneuve before moving in 2022 to the former Base aérienne 217 in Le Plessis-Pâté, in the Essonne region. Across multiple stages it combines a broad musical lineup, political debates, a book village and a funfair, organized by the French Communist Party.
