Nyege Nyege

Nyege Nyege takes place in Jinja, Uganda, at a riverside site on the Nile. Founded in 2014 by the collective of the same name, it has become East Africa's biggest electronic music festival, dedicated to the continent's underground scenes: singeli, gqom, amapiano, kuduro and experimental electronica. Its raw atmosphere and boundary-pushing lineup have earned it praise from outlets like Resident Advisor as one of the world's best electronic festivals.
