VIDOR Festival

Organised by the Móricz Zsigmond Theatre in Nyíregyháza, the VIDOR Festival is a major nine-day multidisciplinary event held each year in late summer across some sixty venues around the city. Its name, built from Hungarian words for cheerfulness and good humour, sums up its spirit: street theatre, puppetry, world music, visual arts and concerts fill the programme, with the vast majority of events free to attend. It ranks among the country's largest multidisciplinary festivals, built on a long tradition of open, inclusive culture.
