Le festival
Organisé les 27 et 28 juin 1970 au Royal Bath and West Showground de Shepton Mallet, dans le Somerset, ce festival succédait à une première édition tenue à Bath en 1969. Il a réuni environ 150 000 spectateurs autour d'une affiche mêlant blues et rock progressif, avec Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa et Santana. Un champ voisin accueillait un festival alternatif gratuit où jouaient Yes et Genesis.
