Overview
About
The Zagreb International Folklore Festival has been held every summer in the Croatian capital since 1966, with stages spread across landmark spots such as the old town of Gradec, Ban Jelačić Square and the music pavilion in Zrinjevac park. It brings together dozens of traditional dance and music groups from Croatia and around the world, performing in folk costume, in a spirit of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage recognised by UNESCO. Declared an event of national significance by the City of Zagreb, it continues a tradition that dates back to the interwar period.
