About
Founded in 1958 in Sant Feliu de Guíxols on Catalonia's Costa Brava, the Porta Ferrada Festival is the oldest summer festival in Catalonia. It takes its name from the 10th-century fortified gate belonging to the town's former monastery, near which some of its concerts are staged. Spread across several venues, its programme blends jazz, classical music, pop and dance, drawing both Catalan and international performers.
