Launched in 2015 in Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné, in Brittany's Ille-et-Vilaine department, by a local guitar luthier and a wine merchant, the 6e Sens festival pairs guitar music with wine over a summer weekend. The program mixes concerts, wine and guitar tastings led by winemakers and luthiers, workshops, talks and exhibitions, rounded off with a musical flea market and a closing concert. What sets it apart is the deliberate parallel it draws between listening to an instrument and tasting a wine as related sensory experiences.
