Afro-Pfingsten Winterthur

Afro-Pfingsten turns the Swiss city of Winterthur into an intercultural meeting point during the Whitsun weekend, dedicated to African and Afro-American cultures. It is the largest festival of its kind in Switzerland, built around concerts, a large market with hundreds of stalls, a film program, workshops, and performances. Over the years its stages have hosted artists such as Miriam Makeba, Youssou N'Dour, and the Buena Vista Social Club.
