About
The Alafia festival takes place in Hamburg-Altona, on Große Bergstraße and Bruno-Tesch-Platz, as an open-air event with a stage, a market and a forum. It presents contemporary African and Black music, blending soukous, reggae, salsa, Senegalese pop and percussion, and has hosted Les Cinq des Bakotessa, Dafra Keita, Robine & Mariella. Concerts, a food and craft market, discussions and readings make up the programme.
