All Hungary International Festival of Folk Dance

Held every summer since 1991 in the spa town of Gyula, this four-day festival brings together thousands of dancers and musicians from dozens of countries to celebrate traditional dance and music. Non-competitive by design, it favours genuine encounters between performers, residents and visitors through staged shows as well as informal performances in the streets, at the baths or in the market, punctuated by a colourful parade and stilt-walkers. It ranks among Hungary's oldest and largest international folklore gatherings.
