Appaloosa Music Festival

Appaloosa Music Festival takes place at Skyline Ranch Resort in Front Royal, Virginia, over Labor Day weekend. Founded in 2015 by the band Scythian, it celebrates the roots music of the Shenandoah Valley, spanning bluegrass, Americana, Celtic folk and related styles performed largely by artists from the Washington DC area. A relaxed atmosphere, craft beer and Virginia wine, and free admission for children give it the feel of a family-friendly, homegrown gathering.
