Ars Electronica

Founded in 1979 in Linz, Austria, Ars Electronica is one of the world's longest running festivals devoted to art, technology and society. It spreads across several downtown venues, including the Ars Electronica Center on the banks of the Danube, with exhibitions, performances, concerts and conferences. Since 1987 it has hosted the Prix Ars Electronica, a leading international media art competition.
