Ars Vocalis México

Ars Vocalis México is an international vocal academy and festival held every summer since 2011, based since 2015 in Ciudad Obregón, in the municipality of Cajeme, Sonora. Founded by tenor Carlos Zapién, it gives selected young Mexican singers the chance to take master classes with recognized figures from the European and North American opera world, along with work on German lieder and baroque music. The festival also invites orchestral and vocal ensembles, including the Sonora Philharmonic Orchestra, for free public performances.
