Artes à Rua

This festival takes over the streets and squares of Évora, organized by the city council with free admission to every show. It brings together music, dance, theatre, performance and new circus, with artists from Portugal alongside Africa and Latin America (Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Brazil, among others). The programme often foregrounds themes like decolonization of thought and gender equality, turning the historic town centre into an open-air meeting point for the arts.
