Auckland Folk Festival

Born in the 1970s out of Auckland's folk music and traditional dance clubs, this festival has been based at the Kumeū Showgrounds in west Auckland since the early 1990s, where it's held each year over Auckland Anniversary weekend. Billed as New Zealand's largest folk music and dance festival, it spreads several stages across rolling paddocks, with workshops, dance and traditional music.
