About
This theatre festival takes place each summer in Bad Hersfeld, staged inside the ruins of the town's former Romanesque abbey church, whose roofless nave has served as an open air stage since 1951. A mobile roof installed above the seating allows performances to continue regardless of weather. The programme mixes drama, musicals and family theatre, in a venue seating roughly 1,300 people.
