Bal National

Every July 20 since 2003, Bal National turns the Place du Jeu de Balle in Brussels' working class Marolles neighbourhood into an open-air dance floor. The free concert brings together Belgian artists for a lively evening tied to the country's national holiday, followed the next day by Resto National, a giant mussels-and-fries gathering. The event draws thousands with its warm, neighbourhood party atmosphere.
