BAM-festival

BAM (Barcelona Acció Musical) is a free music festival held in the streets and squares of Barcelona's historic centre, timed to coincide with the city's La Mercè festivities. Launched in 1993 as an independent, eclectic alternative to La Mercè's official program, it has become a key event for discovering new trends in Catalan, Spanish and international music. Concerts, DJ sets and hybrid performances take place on stages set up in landmark spots such as Plaça Reial and Plaça dels Àngels, spanning genres from pop to electronic to rock.
