Batalha do Neuronio

Batalha do Neurônio is a freestyle rap battle held regularly at Praça do Cidadão in Ceilândia, in Brasília's Federal District. Founded by Emtee Beats, MC Zen and Biro Ribeiro, it brings together MCs who spar over topics suggested by the audience, in a spirit of improvisation and social commentary rooted in the city's peripheral culture. The collective also puts on local hip-hop shows and poetry interventions, and has been invited to schools, universities, shopping malls and the Brasília Book Fair.
