Bevrijdingsfestival Flevoland

Held on Almere's Esplanade around 5 May, the Netherlands' Liberation Day, this free festival combines pop, punk, ska and reggae concerts with workshops and communal meals built around the theme of freedom. Founded in the mid 1990s, it has become a popular fixture in Flevoland province, spread across several stages including the one at Poppodium de Meester.
