Biennale Koltès

The Biennale Koltès takes place in Metz, the birthplace of playwright Bernard-Marie Koltès, and is organised by the association Quai Est together with the Espace Bernard-Marie Koltès on the Saulcy campus. It is not a music festival but a theatre event, featuring marathon readings of contemporary texts, plays, screenings and talks exploring Koltès's work and writing that echoes it. A contemporary writing competition for young authors is also part of the programme.
