Big Red Bash

The Big Red Bash takes place each July in the Simpson Desert, beside the towering Big Red sand dune, a short drive from the remote outback town of Birdsville. Launched in 2013, it draws a family friendly crowd who camp for several nights under the desert sky to see well known Australian pop and rock acts, with the vast red dunes as a backdrop. It is often billed as the world's most remote music festival because of its extreme outback setting.
