About
Bloodstock Open Air is held every summer at Catton Park in Derbyshire, England, and billed as the UK's largest independent metal festival. Started in 2001 as an indoor event before moving outdoors in 2005, it brings together more than a hundred bands across several stages, spanning death metal to traditional heavy metal. Its New Blood stage, reserved for emerging acts chosen through nationwide Metal to the Masses contests, also makes it a launchpad for young bands.
