Overview
About
Boardmasters began in 1981 as a surfing competition on Fistral Beach and added a music programme in 2005, staged at Watergate Bay near Newquay, Cornwall. It has kept that dual site format, pairing professional surf contests with rock, indie and electronic music acts, with past lineups including Florence and the Machine, Foals and Gorillaz.
