Boundary Waters Blues Festival

This blues festival takes place each year in Winton, near Ely, Minnesota, on the shores of Fall Lake within the Superior National Forest wilderness. Founded in 2001 by blues radio host Michael Jankovec along with Deb Pettit and Doug Brown of the Timber Wolf Lodge, it is held the weekend before Labor Day. Set in a remote lakeside location far from major cities, it draws blues fans for a relaxed, community gathering.
