About
Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion is held every year in the historic downtown of Bristol, straddling the Virginia-Tennessee state line, a city recognized as the birthplace of country music thanks to the 1920s Bristol Sessions recordings. Run since 2001 by a non-profit organization, the three-day festival features more than a hundred bands across roughly a dozen open-air stages set up along the downtown streets, spanning Americana, country, bluegrass and rock. Its deep heritage roots and street-festival format make it a standout gathering for fans of American roots music.
