California Jam

California Jam took place on April 6, 1974, at the Ontario Motor Speedway in California, headlined by Deep Purple and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Produced by ABC Entertainment and broadcast live on television, it drew an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 attendees, aided by two movable stages on tracks that let bands set up while the previous act was still performing.
