Chicago Open Air

This heavy metal and hard rock festival took place over three days in July at Toyota Park (now SeatGeek Stadium) in Bridgeview, a suburb of Chicago. It brought together dozens of bands spanning metal, thrash, nu metal and punk, headlined by acts like Rammstein, Slipknot and Disturbed. At the time it was billed as the largest extreme music festival held in the United States in years, though the event folded after only a couple of editions.
