Culture Bar-Bars

Culture Bar-Bars is a nationwide festival born in Nantes in 2003, run by a collective of cultural cafés founded in 1999. In Nantes, its historic home base, it turns around a hundred bars and cafés into temporary stages each year for hundreds of mostly free concerts. The deliberately eclectic lineup spans rock, French chanson, jazz, blues, hip-hop, world music and slam poetry, alongside occasional stand-up or drag shows.
