Culture night Vilnius

Born in 2007 as part of the Vilnius European Capital of Culture 2009 programme, this culture night has become a beloved summer tradition in the Lithuanian capital. For one evening in June, more than 150 free projects fill the city's squares, parks, courtyards and unexpected corners, with concerts, exhibitions, theatre, cinema and performances running through museums, galleries, churches and concert halls. The event draws more than 100,000 visitors from Vilnius, other Lithuanian towns and abroad, invited to wander and take part rather than simply watch.
