Daegu International Musical Festival

The Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF), launched in 2006, is held every summer across venues in the city of Daegu, South Korea. Billed as the world's first festival devoted entirely to musical theatre, it stages invited international productions alongside original Korean works and runs a training academy for aspiring performers. It has played a driving role in bringing Korean musicals to international attention, with productions that have gone on to be staged as far as Broadway.
