East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival

The East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival, better known as Bluesfest, was an Australian festival held over the Easter long weekend in the Byron Bay area of New South Wales since 1990. It began as the East Coast Annual Blues Festival at the Arts Factory, moved through several sites before settling at Byron Events Farm in Tyagarah, and expanded its lineup well beyond blues and roots into a broad mix of genres. It also hosted the Boomerang program, showcasing Indigenous Australian artists and culture, before its planned closure was announced in 2025 and the intended 2026 edition was subsequently cancelled.
