Egerszeg Festival

Egerszeg Fesztivál is held each year in Zalaegerszeg, in western Hungary, to mark the city's anniversary. Spread across several stages and venues in the town center, it combines concerts by mainstream Hungarian acts and local bands from the Zala region with craft markets, food stalls and children's activities. The festival gives particular weight to folk tradition, with performances by traditional ensembles aimed at passing this heritage on to younger generations.
