European Youth Choir Festival

The European Youth Choir Festival Basel (EJCF) brings together, every two years around Ascension, around ten children's and youth choirs from across Europe plus a guest ensemble from outside Europe, in the Basel region of Switzerland. Founded in 1992, it stages more than fifty concerts, church services, community sing-alongs and open-air events spanning classical choral repertoire, gospel, pop, rock and folk song. The young singers stay with host families, reinforcing the festival's spirit of encounter and exchange.
