Ferrock

Ferrock takes place in Ceilândia, in Brazil's Federal District near Brasília, and ranks among the oldest rock festivals still active in the country, born in the mid 1980s from a group of local rock enthusiasts. Free to attend and run by the Ferrock Cultural Center, it brings together local and national bands and has always tied music to social and civic causes. Alternative, engaged rock is the core, sometimes crossing paths with Brazilian folk influences, in a community driven atmosphere rooted in Ceilândia.
