Festas da Praia

Festas da Praia takes place each summer in Praia da Vitória on Terceira island in the Azores, running roughly ten days between late July and early August. Created to commemorate the 1829 Battle of Praia, it blends concerts by Portuguese and international artists with an ethnographic parade, street bullfighting on the beach, and a closing fireworks display. It ranks among the archipelago's largest popular festivities.
