Festival Amazonas de Ópera

The Festival Amazonas de Ópera takes place at the Teatro Amazonas, the historic 1896 opera house in the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Manaus, usually running between March and May. Staged with the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra, it has reached its 27th edition and stands as the region's main lyric event, making Manaus a hub for opera in Brazil.
