Overview
About
The Blues du Fleuve Festival takes place in Podor, in northern Senegal, on the banks of the Senegal River. Created by singer Baaba Maal, it bills itself as West Africa's only integration festival, celebrating the cultural richness of the river valley through concerts, talks, panels and workshops. In keeping with tradition, Baaba Maal makes a memorable entrance by canoe from Luxeyba, on the Mauritanian bank, and the lineup brings together Senegalese artists alongside musicians from across the sub-region.
