Festival de Bandas à Condom

Founded in 1973, the Festival de Bandas in Condom, in the Gers department, has grown into Europe's largest gathering of bandas, the brass-and-percussion bands typical of southwestern France. Each spring, nearly two thousand musicians take over the town's streets for a weekend, turning Condom into an open-air musical stage of parades and concerts. The program pairs bandas music with performances by French and international artists in a festive, popular atmosphere.
