Festival de Forró de Itaúnas

This festival takes place in the village of Itaúnas, part of the municipality of Conceição da Barra on the northern coast of Espírito Santo state in Brazil. Founded in 2001 as FENFIT (Festival Nacional de Forró de Itaúnas), it has grown into one of Latin America's largest gatherings devoted to forró pé de serra. The lineup mixes veteran forró names with newer artists and international guests, alongside dance competitions and workshops, set against the dunes and restinga scrubland surrounding the village.
