Overview
About
Founded in 1980 in Jarocin, in Poland's Greater Poland region, this rock festival became in the following years the leading gathering for the rock scene of the Eastern Bloc, hosting punk, metal and alternative rock. Held outdoors in the small town, it launched major Polish bands such as Dezerter, Kult and Armia, and remains linked to its role as a cultural refuge for rebellious youth under communist rule.
